Privacy Policy
Effective
The short version. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts and makes no third-party network requests. It stores one thing in your browser — whether you chose dark mode. If you send us a demo request, we use it to contact you about a demo, and nothing else.
What this policy covers
This policy covers growwpos.com, the marketing website you are reading now. It is a static site: the pages are built in advance and served as files.
It does not cover the Groww POS application itself — the point-of-sale software a business runs at its counter. That product handles client records and payment data under a separate agreement with the business that operates it, and this website has no connection to it. If you are a client of a salon or clinic that uses Groww POS and you have a question about your own records, that business is the right place to ask; they control that data, not us.
What we collect
There are exactly three ways information reaches us from this website.
- A demo request, if you submit one
- The fields on the demo form: your name, business name, email address, and optionally a phone number, your type of business, which card terminal you use, and whatever you write in the message box. You choose what to put in these; only the name and email are required.
- An email, if you send one
-
Whatever you write, and whatever your mail provider attaches to it. Some pages
offer a
mailto:link instead of a form — that opens your own email program and sends nothing until you press send. - Your theme preference, in your own browser
-
When you use the light/dark toggle, the choice is saved in your browser's local
storage under the key
groww-themeso the site does not flash white on your next visit. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
Beyond that, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — the kind every web server produces, including IP address, timestamp, requested page and user agent — for operational and security purposes such as detecting abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
What we do not collect
This list is unusually specific because most of it is unusual, and because you can verify all of it yourself with your browser's developer tools.
- No cookies. This site sets none at all — not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything. You will not see a cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to.
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no page-view counter, no session recording, no heatmaps.
- No advertising or tracking pixels. No Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag, no retargeting of any kind. We do not build audiences from visitors.
- No third-party scripts. Every script on this site is our own and served from our own domain.
- No third-party fonts. Typefaces are self-hosted, so loading a page does not tell a font provider that you visited.
- No embedded chat widget. The assistant is our own code — see below.
- No fingerprinting, and no cross-site tracking.
The practical result is that loading a page on this site makes no request to any company other than us. The only exception is if you click one of our social media links, which takes you to that platform, where that platform's own privacy policy applies from the moment you arrive.
The chat assistant
The assistant in the corner of the screen is a script that runs entirely inside your browser. It is not a live chat with a person, and it is not an AI service.
Its answers are written in advance and shipped with the page. When you tap a suggestion or type a question, the matching happens on your own device. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, stored, or seen by us — there is no server to send it to. Closing the panel or reloading the page discards the conversation.
If the assistant hands you off — to the demo form, to email, or to WhatsApp — that is a normal link, and information only reaches us once you complete and send the thing it took you to.
How we use what you send
If you submit a demo request, we use it to:
- contact you to arrange a demonstration, at the times and on the terminal you told us about;
- prepare for that call, so we do not spend it asking what you already wrote down; and
- follow up afterwards about your evaluation.
We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or share it for anyone else's marketing. We do not add you to a newsletter because you asked for a demo. If you tell us you are not interested, that is the end of it.
Who else sees it
Only the service providers that make the site and the demo request work, and only for that purpose:
- Our hosting provider
- Serves these pages and processes the demo form submission. Sees server logs and the form contents in transit.
- Our email provider
- Delivers your demo request to our inbox and carries our reply back to you.
- Our customer records system
- Where we keep track of who asked for a demo and what was discussed, so an enquiry does not get lost between people.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. If we are ever compelled to hand something over, we will tell you unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.
How long we keep it
Demo requests and related correspondence are kept while your enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can pick up a conversation you return to months later. Server logs are kept on our hosting provider's standard retention schedule. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see below.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct it, if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop contacting you, permanently.
Email privacy@growwpos.com and we will act on it. We will not make you create an account or fill in a form to exercise a right, and we will not charge you for it. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights — including, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the rights to restrict or object to processing and to data portability, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Canada, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, and in Quebec the Commission d'accès à l'information.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — as those terms are defined by that law. We never have. Because there is nothing to opt out of, this site has no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link; if that ever changes, one will appear here and this section will say so.
In the last twelve months, the only category of personal information we have collected from this website is identifiers and commercial information you typed into a demo request or an email — name, business, email, phone, business type and terminal — for the business purpose of responding to your enquiry.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Demo requests are transmitted encrypted, and access to the inbox and records that receive them is limited to the people who handle enquiries.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. What we can say is that this website holds very little worth stealing: it has no user accounts, no passwords and no database of visitors.
Children
This is a website for business owners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email privacy@growwpos.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information — for example, if analytics are ever added — we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly folded in, because a privacy policy that changes silently is not worth reading.
How to reach us
Privacy questions and requests: privacy@growwpos.com
General enquiries: info@growwpos.com
Existing customer support: support@growwpos.com
A real person reads these. If we are the wrong people to ask — because your question is about records held by a salon that uses our software — we will tell you that plainly rather than ignoring the message.
