- ESC/POS command builder, not a wrapper around one printer model The protocol itself, so the printer you already own is likely to work.
- USB transport for a printer on the counter Directly attached, and unaffected by the network.
- Network transport for a shared or back-office printer One printer serving several tills, addressed over your own network.
- PDF receipts as an alternative to paper For the clients who would rather have the email than the roll.

Receipt printing is where cheap software gets found out
It works with the printer the vendor tested and nothing else, the layout cannot be changed, and the logo is a row of hash marks. Then the printer dies on a Saturday and the replacement is not supported.
Groww POS implements ESC/POS itself — the command language thermal printers actually speak — with both USB and network transports. That is the difference between “supports our printer” and “supports receipt printers”.
Paper is not the only output
A PDF receipt can be archived, emailed and attached to an invoice record. Signature capture stores against the transaction rather than on a slip in a drawer. And a reprint comes out of invoice history, not out of a memory of what the sale contained.

Which receipt printers work?
ESC/POS printers, which is the standard nearly every thermal receipt printer speaks. Connect over USB on the counter or over the network for a shared printer.
Can I put my logo on the receipt?
Yes. The receipt document model renders images, so a logo sits at the top of the layout rather than being a line of text pretending to be one.
Do you support emailed receipts?
Receipts generate as PDFs, which is what makes emailing or archiving them possible without a screenshot of the till.
Can a receipt be reprinted later?
Yes, from invoice history — which is also where refunds and payment review live.
