Feature
Point of sale
A cart that holds services, retail, packages and deposits together, with multi-rate tax, promotions, tips and any combination of tenders settling in one transaction.
- Your terminal, your negotiated rate
- No marketplace commission
- Gift card, loyalty and split tenders
What it does
Everything on this list is in the product today. What is not built is on the roadmap, not in this column.
- Cart with service and product lines, edited mid-sale Services and retail sit in one cart, so a blow-dry and the shampoo she took home settle together.
- Customer lookup, or a walk-in with no record at all A walk-in never has to become a client record before they can pay.
- Multi-rate tax Different rates on service and retail lines within the same sale.
- Promotions, discounts and promo rules Rules apply themselves at the till rather than relying on someone remembering the offer.
- Gift card and loyalty redemption at the till Both are real tenders, drawn from a ledger rather than a note by the register.
- Multi-tender — one sale split across cash, card, gift and loyalty The sale closes when the balance reaches zero, however many tenders that took.
- Card surcharge, configurable Set once in settings, applied at the till.
- Tips with presets, a custom amount and a customer-facing display The client chooses on their own screen rather than on the one you are holding.
- Draft carts persisted against the appointment A half-finished sale survives a busy Saturday and a locked screen.
- Cash drawer sessions with open, close and reconciliation Open, close and count, with the variance recorded rather than argued about.
- End-of-day close and settlement One close covers every register and every tender the day took.
Checkout is where the day is won or lost
A client standing at the counter with a card in their hand is the least patient they will be all visit. The checkout path is short by design: the appointment already knows what was performed, the cart is already drafted, and the tender screen leads with what people actually pay by.
Everything settles in the same ledger
Retail, services, packages, deposits, tips and surcharge close into one end-of-day. There is no second system to reconcile against, which is the difference between a five-minute close and an evening.
Switch with zero downtime
Changing software mid-season is the thing every owner dreads. Here is exactly how it goes.
- 1
We import your data
Clients, services, staff, price list and future appointments — from a spreadsheet or an export from your current platform.
- 2
You keep trading
Run both systems for a week if you want. Nothing is switched off until your team says so.
- 3
Your terminal stays
Dejavoo or PAX — the hardware you already own and the rate you already have. No re-application, no new merchant account.
Questions we get asked
Can one sale use more than one tender?
Yes. A sale can split across cash, card, gift card and loyalty in any combination, and the balance is tracked to zero before the sale closes.
Does it handle tips for multiple staff on one ticket?
Tips are attributed to the staff member who performed the service, which is what makes commission and payroll come out right at the end of the period.
What happens to an unfinished sale?
The cart is saved as a draft against the appointment, so a client who steps away mid-checkout does not cost you the ticket.
Works with
- Payments Run the Dejavoo or PAX terminal you already own, at the rate you already negotiated, with nothing held back for the privilege.
- Retail & inventory Products, services, variants and add-ons in one catalogue — with vendor cost, retail margin, stock levels and product consumed by a service moving the same stock figure.
