Yes. Consumption is logged against the service that used it and moves the same stock figure retail sells from, which is what makes cost per service reportable.
Can a service have variants?
Yes — length, size or add-on variants price and schedule differently, which matters wherever a job is quoted rather than fixed.
Do you track vendor cost and margin?
Yes, including buy-down pricing, so the margin on the shelf is a number rather than an estimate.
